Robert Weir is partner in the Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. He practises in the area of labour relations, employment law, and education law.
Weir appears before the courts and a variety of administrative tribunals, including the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and the Ontario Labour Relations Board, on matters related to unionized and non-unionized employees. He also appears in the Ontario Superior Court on wrongful dismissal actions, injunction and judicial review proceedings.
Weir advises private and public sector employers in labour relations and employment law matters generally, including employee terminations, structuring severance packages, interest arbitrations under the Hospital Labour Disputes Arbitration Act, employment contracts, human rights matters, and the treatment of employees in corporate transactions.
